SEC Inspections

SEC Inspections is an Electrical Inspection company comprised of a number of highly skilled  Licensed Electrical Inspectors. SEC Inspections strives in meeting the requirements of all its customers by using a mixture of employee and sub-contract inspection personnel.

 SEC Inspections Pty Ltd and its sub-contractors have provided the following services since its inception in 2010,

• Prescribed Electrical Inspectors inspecting Prescribed Electrical Installation Works for the general trade at large. 

• Licensed Electrical Inspectors for the general trade for prescribed electrical inspection work and consultations. Assisting and consulting to the public for auditing electrical installation works for the purposes of litigation.

• Licensed Electrical Inspectors for the general trade for prescribed electrical inspection work and consultations in specialized fields including High voltage, Hazardous Area and Medical Area Electric

After completing his apprenticeship as an electrician Jason Smallman worked as an electrical installation worker for an electrical contractor in Melbourne. Jason  completed his electrical inspectors licence examination in 2010 and since such time has worked as an electrical inspector in the private sector of the electrical industry (and distribution network as a sub-contractor).

• Auditors to Energysafe Victoria (ESV) to audit Prescribed and Non-Prescribed works for compliance with the relevant Electricity Safety Acts, Regulations and Standards applicable at the time. 

• Prescribed Electrical Inspector inspecting Prescribed Electrical Installation Works for the general trade at large. 

• Electrical Inspections Officer on behalf of United Energy Networks, Jemena  CitiPower and Powercor performing investigations into electric shock incidents; high voltage damage incident response; illegal wiring investigation; and general electrical incident response. These activities are laden with report writing and can require occasional court appearances.

• Licensed Electrical Inspector for the general trade for prescribed electrical inspection work and consultations. Assisting and consulting to the public for auditing electrical installation works for the purposes of litigation

Melissa has worked in the general management of SEC Inspections since the company was formed. Melissa’s key roles include  XERO processing, PAYG, BAS and ATO liaison, all relevant financial management duties for SEC Inspections. Previously Employed as a Transport Manager assistant and Time slot allocator. Melissa excels in contract customer relations, liaising with key industry stake holders to ensure KPI and customer satisfaction is maintained to the highest priority.

Prior to her time in management, Melissa completed an apprenticeship in Hairdressing and worked for several years as a qualified hairdresser. The high interaction with a wide range of clientele only bolstered her ability to communicate, listen and understand customer requests and helped her achieve her high standards in customer satisfaction.
